Certified Nursing Assistants

Pay and Benefits

Certified Nursing Assistants are in high demand, and the field is growing quickly in North Dakota. Pay varies by location and type of workplace. Average wages range from $13-$16 per hour, depending on experience.

Most facilities that hire CNA’s provide 24-hour care, so they need staff for nights, weekends and holidays. Most pay higher wages for those willing to work those shifts. So there are also opportunities to work weekends or night shifts that will pay premium wages of $19-$24 per hour.

Benefits vary depending on where you work, but for full-time CNA positions, most employers offer paid time off and medical insurance. Many employers pay for CNA training, and some may pay for college courses as well. Also, grants are available that may help you to continue with your education to become an LPN or RN.
